On the 25th of June, Student from the STEM Academy were given the opportunity to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne as part of The Biomimicry Project – Student Design Challenge. A comprehensive program at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne that explores the fascinating field of biomimicry—innovation inspired by nature. The students learnt about Biomimicry, explored examples of bio-inspired innovations, observed plant adaptations and discovered how nature can inspire design for problem-solving.
