Music
Through Music, students are free to use and express their imagination and creativity. They can voice and follow their own learning styles, ideas, feelings and interests.
Timbarra P-9 College is a Musical Futures Australia Champion School.

The Musical Futures vision is built on the belief that music learning works best when young people have access to and are making music, and when their existing passion for music is reflected and built-upon in the classroom.
Through the implementation of the Victorian Music Curriculum and Musical Futures vision, students learn as an artist, audience member and by making and responding in music.
Students participate in one-hour music lessons weekly.
Years Prep, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 lessons provide students with the opportunity to sing and use a wide range of percussion instruments and contemporary electric and acoustic instruments as well as music creation technology.
Years 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 have the opportunity to participate in the Junior and Senior Primary Choirs.
Year 5 and 6 students also have the opportunity to participate in the Timbarra P-9 College Young Warriors Music Academy.
Students have the opportunity to celebrate and perform their music work through:
-
