Instrumental Music Program
The aim of the Secondary Instrumental Music Program at Timbarra College is to provide every student the opportunity to learn and develop a love for music. Learning an instrument is one of the most beneficial activities in a child’s development and we have seen an increasing need to provide a quality instrumental program at Timbarra to cater for this area of development. The Secondary Instrumental Music Program complements both the current Classroom Music Program and Young Warriors Music Program and aims to extend students’ skills, knowledge, and appreciation of music.
To further develop their skills, students who enrol in the program are to participate in an ensemble that suits their level of learning. Participation in an ensemble is an essential component of the program as it provides students with group performance opportunities and ensemble skills. Ensemble rehearsals are held once per week.
