Timbarra College is pleased to announce a special music opportunity for students
Young Warriors are rock bands that will gig, tour and play professional standard performances from Term I, 2017.
Head Band Coach is Paul “Bom” Bombig , (see opposite) who, together with the music staff will ensure Timbarra Young Warriors get rocking from day 1 next year.
Young Warriors is an initiative of the Australian Music Association and created to support the development of live music in Australia.

Students from years 5 – 9 can put forward an Expression of Interest to be in this program. In total 32 students will be admitted for 2017.
Students will be able to meet Paul during music classes in November 2016.
Students will have two dedicated band sessions per week. One will be on withdrawal from class and the other at lunch or after school. Students will need to practice at home also.
Young Warriors will be performing regularly at a range of events and venues. Ask your music teacher for more information.
Paul Bombig (Bom) is an accomplished singer\songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. He has toured the United States of America and Canada twice, played Berlin and London, and toured nationally in Australia. With tons of charisma and just as much talent, Bom has been rocking the Melbourne music scene for 15 years, has worked with producers in LA (David Snow), had his publishing signed to Alberts & Co. (Sydney), has released 4 E.P.s, and has now begun to record his debut album with Neo -Renaissance Records, which will be released in 2016. As a vocalist/multi-instrumentalist ‘Bom’ holds both a Bachelor of Music from the Australian College of the Arts in Melbourne and a Masters of Teaching, Music from Melbourne University.
